Coca-Cola announces weaker beverage trading

Coca-Cola Amatil Limited (ASX:CCL) has announced weaker trading in Australian beverages year-to-date, compared to the prior corresponding period.

The drinks giant says it experienced volume and price pressures across all channels on the back of competition, category trends and challenges in the market.

As a result Coca-Cola Amatil is expecting its underlying net profit after tax to decline in the first half of 2017.

The company is also expecting mid single-digit earnings per share growth.

Shares in Coca-Cola Amatil Limited (ASX:CCL) is trading 9.22% lower at $9.75
