CIMIC’s Leighton Asia wins $278M Hong Kong airport deal

The Airport Authority of Hong Kong has awarded CIMIC Group’s (ASX:CIM) company, Leighton Asia, a $278 million deal to expand Hong Kong International Airport.

In particular, Leighton Asia will perform works to expand the Terminal 1 Annex Building and Carpark 4 at the airport.

At Terminal 1, the company will build a seven-storey reinforced concrete structure and new check-in counters, departure screening channels and departure immigration counters.

In regards to Carpark 4, Leighton will construct an 11-storey concrete structure which will connect the existing carpark with the Terminal 1 arrivals ramp.

CIMIC says construction will begin this month and finish in 2019.

This morning, CIMIC shares fell 0.06% to $35.99.
