BOCI extends its Yancoal’s bond subscription

Yancoal Australia Limited (ASX:YAL) has announced a subsidiary of the Bank of China, BOCI, has extended its subscription to US$175 million of the coal miners debt bonds.

Yancoal initially announced it planned to raise US$950 million via the issue of nine-year secured debt bonds.

As part of the arrangement, Yancoal issued US$775 million worth of debt bonds, while BOCI Asia Financial Products Limited (BOCI) subscribed to the remaining debt bonds.

BOCI previously only subscribed to the US$175 million to 31 March 2017, but it has now extended that by six months, to 30 September 2017.

Shares in Yancoal Australia Limited (ASX:YAL) last traded 5.33% higher on Friday at 39.5 cents.
