Investa Office Fund issues inaugural $150M Green Bond

Investa Office Fund (ASX:IOF) has announced it will issue the first certified Australian dollar Green Bond for an Australian Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

The commercial office investment company will issue $150 million seven-year Green Bonds with a fixed coupon of 4.262% payable per annum, until maturity in April 2024.

The proceeds will be used by the company to reduce its bank debts and while the funds will also be allocated to a portfolio of Low Carbon Buildings in IOF’s portfolio.

Investa Office Fund says the issuance of the Green Bond demonstrates the business is commitment to a low carbon economy.

The Green Bond will be independently assured and certified by the Climate Bonds Initiative.
