Infant formula maker, Bellamy’s (ASX:BAL), is facing delays in getting its products registered under China’s new import regulations.

Bellamy’s says its infant formula products won’t be registered with the China Food and Drug Administration before the new rules come into effect on 1 January 2018.

The company also says the testing required for product registration may take up to 6 months.

In 1H17, the company’s China products accounted for around $16 million worth of sales, which is 14% of Bellamy’s total sales.

After this morning’s announcement, Bellamy’s share price has fallen 7.4% to $4.14.
