Tox Free’s Barrow Island contract ended by Chevron

Tox Free Solutions (ASX:TOX) has been informed by Chevron Australia that its waste management services on Barrow Island will cease on 30 June 2016 – in three months’ time.

Tox Free has been providing these services on Barrow Island, northwest of Western Australia, over the last seven years.

However, the company will still provide its services to Chevron’s other Australian operations under its Master Contractor Services Contract.

The company estimates its contribution towards EBITDA from Barrow Island services in the 2018 financial year was expected to range from $1 million to $2 million.

Tox Free says it has recently been awarded contracts for the Ichthys liquefied natural gas project in Darwin, Santons GLNG prokect in the Surat Basin and an expanded scope of work for Fortescue Metals in the Pilbara.

This morning, Tox Free shares are tracking 0.84% lower at $2.36.
