Talga partners with Zinergy to develop printed batteries

Technology minerals company, Talga Resources (ASX:TLG), has signed a joint development agreement with Zinergy UK Ltd, an energy technology company based in Cambridge, UK.

Under this deal, both companies will collaborate to develop ultra-thin, flexible, printed batteries (for which Zinergy already has a patent).  Talga will supply value-added graphene and graphitic carbon ink formulations over an initial 12 month period.

Talga says the market for flexible, light-weight and disposable (but eco-friendly) batteries is growing rapidly, and this co-development targets a cost-value and performance solution for the mass production of printed power.

Initial test results are expected in the third quarter of this year.

This morning, shares in Talga are tracking 6.5% higher at 41 cents.
