UltraCharge signs MOU with Leclanché

UltraCharge Ltd (ASX:UTR), a lithium-ion battery technology company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Leclanché SA, one of the world’s largest battery energy storage suppliers, based in Switzerland.

UltraCharge says both parties want to achieve scale manufacturing of high-cycling, and high energy density batteries to meet the needs of electrical vehicle battery markets.

Both companies will undertake a pilot project to test the TiO2 nanotube anode technology developed by UltraCharge. If successful, it will be incorpated into the battery cells of Lelanché on its manufacturing line in Germany.

This MOU does not prevent UltraCharge or Leclanché from entering into agreements with any other parties.

This morning, UltraCharge shares are tracking 13.3% higher at 3.4 cents.
