The Ardent Leisure Group (ASX:AAD) has released a trading update, showing that it earned $4.4 million in revenue in February 2017.  This is 35% lower than the revenue it earned during the same period last year.

By way of comparison, in December 2016, the Group’s theme park revenue dropped by an even larger 63.5% lower compared to December 2015 .

In the month afterwards, January 2017, its theme park also fell, but not as much (down 44% compared to January 2016).

The Group’s revenue has fallen since November, when four peopled died in an accident which happened at the Thunder Rapids River Ride in its Dreamworld theme park.

And yesterday, about eight people were stuck mid-air for half an hour at the Group’s Buzz Saw ride, also at Dreamworld, after the ride’s auto-stop sensor was triggered.

Emergency services were not called, and Dreamworld says the ride’s carriage was able to return to its starting position, allowing passengers to disembark.

This morning, shares in Ardent Lesiure traded 3.54% higher at $1.61.
