NAB experiences another systems failure

Company News

National Australia Bank Ltd (ASX:NAB) has apologised to its customers for the second time in a fortnight because of a major systems failure.

Late yesterday, some of the bank’s electronic channels temporarily collapsed and left some customers unable to access their money online or through ATMs and EFTPOS facilities.

A spokesperson for NAB says the interruption lasted for about an hour and the systems are now running as normal.

NAB says the latest problem is just an unfortunate coincidence.

NAB booked a net profit of $4.2 billion in the 2010 financial year.
