Fury continues for NAB customers

National Australia Bank Ltd (ASX:NAB) opened some of its branches yesterday to assist customers access funds after numerous computer problems delayed payments and transactions.

Branches opened in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

The bank says it cannot promise that thousands of customer accounts will be restored before the end of today but says it continuing to rectify accounts after a corrupt computer file on Wednesday night left thousands of customers with unprocessed payments and wages.

For the year ended 30 June 2010, NAB reported a net profit of $4.2 billion.
