MAp Group (ASX:MAP) says Sydney Airport experienced its strongest ever September for international, domestic and total traffic.

Average daily passengers through Sydney Airport exceeded 100,000 for the first time.

Domestic passenger numbers rose 7.2 per cent compared to September 2009, international traveler numbers rising 8.2 per cent.

CEO Kerrie Mather says all domestic carriers continued to enjoy strong passenger growth whilst international traffic continued to benefit from high levels of Australian outbound travel, along with strong inbound growth from Korea, China and New Zealand.

At MAp’s other airports, Copenhagen enjoyed a 12.3 per cent increase in passenger numbers, a record breaking performance, with Brussels airport experiencing its strongest passenger growth since February.

MAP Group posted a loss for the six months to June 30, 2010.
