Conquest Mining recovers high grade results

Company News

Conquest Mining Ltd’s (ASX:CQT) wholly owned Mt Carlton gold-silver-copper project located near Townsville in Queensland, has delivered high grade gold results.

The miner says further drilling results from a second drill hole in the project have yielded 11 grams per tonne of gold and 8.3 grams per tonne of silver at 10.1 metres and 0.2 per cent copper from 146 metres.

Conquest says the high-grade zone is outside the planned open pit and so increases the possibility of an underground operation off the eastern side of the pit.

Further drilling is being planned by Conquest to test the continuation of the mineralisation.

Conquest Mining posted a loss of $3.69 million in the year to 30 June 2010.
