UXC Ltd (ASX:UXC) says it has won a multimillion dollar contract to provide workers at Chevron’s Gorgon project with an entertainment and lifestyle system.

The company’s voice and data unit Integ Group will deliver video-on-demand, TV, video gaming systems, internet, radio and an outdoor movie theatre on an IP network for the construction village at Gorgon.

More than 3,000 rooms and common areas are expected to be decked out for the workers who will build a liquefied natural gas production facility on Barrow Island off the coast of Western Australia.

UXC says that Integ now provides more than 8,000 rooms with life-style and entertainment systems in the oil and gas sector of Western Australia and Queensland.

Adding that the scope for further growth in the sector is substantial as is the opportunity to continue to grow market share.

UXC reported a $2.87 million net loss for the 2010 financial year.
