James Hardie Industries
(ASX:JHX) has again appealed the Federal Court’s decision in regards to a dispute with the Australian Tax Office.
At the beginning of this month the building products manufacturer lost an appeal, on behalf of RCI Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of James Hardie.
The company says as a result of the Federal Court's unfavourable decision, it is likely to record a charge estimated to be around $387.7 million.
James Hardie will advise the market on the charge when it announces its fiscal 2011 second quarter results on 15 November.
James Hardie reported a loss of $92.69 for the twelve months to 31 March 2010.
