Ramelius posts record June quarterly performance

Company News

Ramelius Resources Ltd (ASX:RMS) has posted its best operating performance for any quarter since it began operations at the Wattle Dam mine in 2006.

The Gold miner says it has recorded gold sales of $24.4 million at an average price of $1,294 per ounce for the June quarter.

Earlier in the month, Ramelius purchased the Mount Magnet gold project in Western Australia for $40 million.

At the time of the announcement, the company then said it had $96 million in cash and gold on hand, and is debt free, the acquisition being funded from its existing cash reserves.

Ramelius expects to release its full quarterly report by the end of this week.

Ramelius Resources reported a profit of $4.97 million for the year ending 2009
