Iluka Resources
(ASX:ILU) has reported a 9.6% drop in mineral sands production for the 2010 June quarter compared to the June quarter in 2009.
In the three months to June 30 Iluka produced 418.2 kilotonnes of mineral sands product, compared to 462.5 for the same time last year.
The company says however, production in the June quarter 2010 increased 13% from the March quarter.
Zircon production in the June quarter represented a 79% increase on the March 2010 quarter at 104.7 thousand tonnes.
Iluka Resources reported a loss of $108 million for the year ending 30 December 2009.
