Electricity unit developer Ceramic Fuel Cells Ltd
(ASX:CFU) has today appointed Harvey Norman's Commercial division to distribute the company’s BlueGen generators.
The BlueGen units use patented fuel cell technology to convert natural gas to electricity with high efficiency.
Initially Harvey Norman’s commercial division will sell BlueGen units to its commercial clients as well as to utilities and Government bodies.
Ceramic Fuel says the long term goal is to utilise the extended reach of Harvey Norman retail stores and access their broader consumer market.
Director of Ceramic Fuel, Brendan Dow, says the appointment of Harvey Norman represents a massive opportunity for BlueGen.
The company recently announced that a report by the CSIRO confirmed the significant carbon savings from the BlueGen units.
Ceramic Fuel Cells reported a loss of $42.18 million for the year ending 30 June 2009.
