Elders Ltd
(ASX:ELD) has announced John Ballard as the new director and chairman of the company as part of the boards continuing renewal process.
Mr Ballard has served in senior and non-executive director roles at Woolworths, Email and Wattyl, Southcorp, United Biscuits and Coca-Cola Amatil.
He will replace Stephen Gerlach, who earlier announced he would retire following the appointment of a suitable successor.
Outgoing chairman Mr Gerlach says Mr Ballard will bring experience and skills to the task of overseeing Elders’ future development of the agricultural sector.
Elders reported a loss of $466.43 for the year ending 30 September 2009.
