Energy Resources reports drop in H1 production

Uranium miner Energy Resources of Australia Ltd (ASX:ERA) has posted a 36% drop in first half uranium oxide production, with full year output expected to fall by up to 18% on the previous year.

In a review of their June 2010 quarter operations Energy Resources says 1,717 tonnes of uranium oxide was produced in the six months to June.

Looking ahead, the company says it now expects to produce between 4,300 and 4,700 tonnes of uranium oxide in 2010.

The company has previously said it expected to report 2010 output in line with its 2009 result of 5,240 tonnes.

Energy Resources of Australia reported a net profit of $272.57 million for the year ending 30 December 2009.
