Wesfarmers Ltd
(ASX:WES) has announced the appointment of a new director of the company, Ms Vanessa Wallace.
Ms Wallace leads Booz & Company’s financial services practice, having held multiple governance roles within Booz’s global partnership over her 20 years with the company.
Westfarmers chairman Dr Bob Every says Ms Wallace will bring many years of experience to the role and her expertise in corporate strategy development will be an asset to the board.
Ms Wallace’s appointment takes the Westfarmers Board membership to eleven.
Wesfarmers reported a profit of $1.5 billion for the 2009 financial year.
