(ASX:NWS) has moved to increase its focus on digital journalism and web services by shifting some senior editorial staff into new roles.
News Limited’s editorial director Campbell Reid says four new appointments have been made as part of New Corp’s strategy to transform traditional journalism in the digital space.
Of those changes, Peter Clark, the online business manager for The Herald & Weekly Times, has been appointed chief digital officer of the Times.
Matthew Pinkney, editor of heraldsun.com.au, has been moved to digital editor of HWT.
Peter Judd, News Limited online network creative director, has been appointed digital editor of Nationwide News, publisher of Sydney's The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph.
Finally, Daily Telegraph executive editor Glenn Stanaway has the new role of executive editor of News Limited's Sunday newspapers.
News Corporation posted a $4 billion loss in 2009.
