Skilled Group Ltd (ASX:SKE) CEO resigns

Contract labour provider Skilled Group Ltd (ASX:SKE) has announced the resignation of its CEO John Dixon amid a major board reshuffle.

The company says Mr Dixon has resigned to pursue his own interests, but would remain as an advisor and chair the board of the Offshore Marine Services Alliance joint venture.

His resignation is effective from today and his replacement is yet to be named.

Meanwhile, Max Findlay has been appointed as an independent non-executive director to the company.

Mr Findlay is the former long-term managing director of Programmed Maintenance Services.

The company has also hired Tim Paine to take on the role of company secretary and group general counsel.

Mr Paine has managed his own consulting company for the past two years and was general counsel and company secretary at Symbion Health prior to that.

Skilled Group reported a profit of $28.25 million for the 2009 financial year.
