After being twice delayed, a federal court hearing into CSR’s
(ASX:CSR) split of its famous sugar division into a separate company, will finally take place today.
The hearing is a key requirement in the process to float CSR’s sugar business by the end of March.
After the demerger CSR will be mainly a materials business.
The hearing comes at the end of a busy week for CSR as it turned down an invitation to talk on selling its sugar business to China’s Bright Food.
CSR failed to return a profit in 2009, instead it posted a $326 loss.
