Slater and Gordon Limited (ASX:SGH) has reported a $425.1 million net loss for the first half of 2017.

However, the loss is half of what it was in the previous year, when SGH reported a net loss of $958.3 million.

Half year revenue fell 33.8 per cent to $322.7 million, compared to $487.5 million at the same time last year.

The law firm says the result was impacted by a $350.3 million impairment charge against the carrying value of UK intangible assets, as well as underperformance in UK and Australian operations.

Slater and Gordon also says it’s complying with ASIC requirements, after it was served with two notices to produce documents back in December.
