Japara Healthcare Limited (ASX:JHC) has reported a 14.5 per cent jump in revenue to $177.1 million for the first half of 2017.

Meantime, net profit came in slightly short of last year’s $16.2 million figure, down to $14.6 million.

The aged care provider says it has maintained its focus on high quality resident care and solid average occupancy of 94.4 per cent.

It also says long term demand remains positive, underpinned by an aging population in Australia.

Japara declared an interim dividend of 5 cents per share, fully franked.
