Sonic Healthcare (ASX:SHL) has posted its 1H17 results.  The highlights were :
- Statutory net profit of $197 million– up 5% over pcp,
- Revenue rose 1% to $2.48 billion, and
- EBITDA (before non-recurring costs) increased by 1% to $414 million.

The company declared an interim Dividend of 31 cents, 20% franked. This is 3.3% higher than the previous interim dividend.

Sonic Healthcare says says these results were driven by the performance of its German and Swiss operations – which had strong organic revenue growth.

However, the company says its Australian business suffered from current Government policies.  By that, Sonic Healthcare is referring to the plans announced by the Federal government last year to scrap bulk-billing incentives for pathology and diagnostic imaging.
