Wesfarmers reports 13.2% rise in 1H17 net profit

Wesfarmers (ASX:WES) has reported that its NPAT rose 13.2% to $ 1.58 billion in 1H17.

As for its revenue from ordinary activities during that period, it lifted 4.3% to $34.92 billion.

Wesfarmers also reported EBIT of $2.43 billion, a gain of 15.1% over the pcp.

The company declared a fully-franked interim dividend of $1.03 per share (up 13.2% over previous interim dividend)

As for its outlook this financial year, Wesfarmers says it is generally optimistic – particularly for its banz, Kmart and Officeworks businesses during the second half.
