IMF Bentham
(ASX:IMF) is expecting to earn $7.8 million in revenue, after a case it funded had a successful outcome at a US Federal Court.
Out of that revenue figure, or damages award, IMF Bentham expects to earn a before tax profit of $3.9 million.
The company has also launched a US$200 million litigation finance vehicle (Bentham IMF 1 LLC) – of which IMF will invest up to US$50 million in equity.
Yesterday, shares in IMF Bentham closed 3.11% higher at $1.82.
The company posted a net profit of $20.9 million at 30 June 2016.
