Triton Minerals Limited (ASX:TON) has announced its completing necessary work for a maiden mineral resource at its Ancuabe Graphite Project in Mozambique.

It comes after the mineral explorer and developer's drilling found "outstanding graphite grades" at site T16.

Triton Minerals says it identified coarse and large flake graphite in drill cores.

The discovery also has potential be a low cost extraction, as the minerals are near the surface and close to the Port of Pemba.

Triton Minerals (ASX:TON) reported a net loss of $900,624 at 30 June 2016.
