Sundance Energy Australia Limited (ASX:SEA) has announced it produced between 6,400 and 7,900 barrels of oil equivalent (BOED) per day, for the full 2016 year and fourth quarter.

The oil and gas explorer and producer says it also experienced lower production in Q4 on the back of unplanned downtime from surface and equipment issues.

While the issues will resolved in Q2 2017 its operational efficiencies will also improve from vendor and equipment changes.

For the 2016 full year, Sundance's capital expenditures totalled $84 million. About half was spent on drilling and completions and $23 million was used for acquisitions.

Capital expenditures for 2017s full year will total a maximum of $88 million, with the miner to deploy two drilling rigs in Q1.

Sundance Energy Australia Limited (ASX:SEA) reported a net loss of $27.06 million at 30 June 2016.
