OceanaGold achieves 2016 production results

OceanaGold Corporation (ASX:OGC) has announced its achieved its 2016 production and cost guidance.

The gold producer says for the full 2016 year it achieved 416,741 ounces of gold and 21,123 tonnes of copper.

It's tipping 2017 will look even better on the gold front, as it’s increased its exploration budget on the back of strong organic growth potential.

For 2017 OceanaGold's expecting to produce up to 610,000 ounces of gold, while its copper production will fall to an upper limit of 17,000 tonnes.

In more good news, its All-In-Sustaining costs once sold, are also tipped to fall, to a maximum of $650 per ounce in 2017. 

OceanaGold Corporation posted a net profit of $72.63 million at 31 December 2015.
