OBJ Limited (ASX:OBJ) has announced the Japanese Patent Office has granted the company a patent for its magnetic microarray skincare technology.

OBJ now holds patents in Japan for use of the technology in both skincare delivery products and beauty and grooming applications.

Luxury Japanese skincare brand SK-II currently commercialises OBJ’s microarray technology, and will benefit from patent protection as a result.

The company received a similar patent in the US last year and is currently pursuing one in Europe.

OBJ Limited reported a net loss of $3.6M at 30 June 2016.
