Pilbara Minerals
(ASX:PLS) has awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for its Pilangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project to engineering company RCR Tomlinson
(ASX:RCR). Pilbara says this contract puts Pilangoora on track for commissioning in the December quarter of 2017.
The company also says the contract is a staged award with a total maximum value of around $148 million, and a target price of $138 million.
Stage 1 of the contract is a two month Front-End Engineering and Design program, which will determine the final scope of work, timeline and target price.
Stage 2 is construction, which is expected to commence in May 2017.
Pilbara Minerals posted a net loss of $55.6 million at 30 June 2016.
