Cooper Energy (ASX:COE) has signed an expansion to its existing gas sales agreement with AGL Energy (ASX:AGL) – which increases its gas sales volumes from 6.6 petajoules to 12 petajoules.

The company says its total annual gas sales commitments have now risen to 20 petajoules – a figure which takes into account recent contracts with AGL, O-I Australia, Alinta Energy and EnergyAustraila.

In addition, Cooper Energy has appointed Virginia Suttell as its Acting Chief Financial Officer.

Ms Suttell will work in that role until the company recruits a permanent CFO – a position which has been vacant since former CFO Jason de Ross resigned in early December 2016.

Cooper Energy posted a net loss of $34.8 million at 30 June 2016.
