Metals of Africa Ltd
(ASX:MTA) has now changed its name to Battery Minerals Ltd
(ASX:BAT).
The company says the name change is effective immediately and was approved by shareholders on 21 December 2016.
CEO, Cherie Leeden, says the name change was made to signal the company’s specific focus and commitment to graphite and similar minerals which are used in the Lithium Ion Battery sector.
Battery Minerals says it’s currently finalizing a Definitive Feasibility Study focused on its proposed Montepuez flake graphite operation in Mozambique.
Battery Minerals reported a net loss of $4.4 million at 30 June 2016.
