Wollongong Coal court appeal dismissed

Wollongong Coal Limited (ASX:WLC) has announced Justice Moore has dismissed its appeal to have the Planning and Assessment Commission’s review report on the Russell Vale Colliery set aside.

The company has indicated it is disappointed with the decision and will consider its appeal options.

Wollongong Coal has noted the decision and report does not prevent the progression of its application to expand its underground operation at Russell Vale.

The miner will look to options is now has to progress this expansion operation.

Wollongong Coal Limited reported a net loss of $182 million at 31 March 2016.
