Sydney Airport reports October traffic growth

Sydney Airport Limited (ASX:SYD) has reported passenger numbers grew by 3.7 percent for October compared to the same time last year.

International traffic growth was up 8.3 percent on last October, with top outbound destinations including Qatar, Japan and New Zealand.

Top inbound nationalities included Japanese and Indian visitors.

Domestic passenger growth also increased, and is 4.2 percent up for the year to date.

New services from China Eastern airlines are expected to also deliver 219,000 incremental seats per annum to Sydney, pointing to future growth in the new year.

Sydney Airport Limited reported a net profit of $159.6 million at 30 June 2016.
