Navitas (ASX:NVT), a global education services provider, says it had 2% underlying growth in student enrolments during the third semester of 2016.

The company also says full time student units for the semester were around 15,500 across the University Partnerships division, which is an 8% decrease over pcp.

As for enrolments at Australian and NZ colleges, that increased by 6% compared to last year. However, when taking into account colleges that are closing, Navitas’ Australian and NZ enrolments were down 15%.

Across the globe, Navitas’ enrolments in North America grew by 6%, due to a sustained demand for Canadian pathways courses. On the other hand, the company says its UK enrolments fell by 7% due to “restrictive student visa regime”.

Navitas reported a net profit of $90.8 million at 30 June 2016.
