Lucapa Diamond Company posts record sale

Lucapa Diamond Company Limited (ASX:LOM) has announced a record diamond sale for a parcel of 1,864 carats from its diamond project in Angola.

The parcel sold for US$8.3 million, representing an average price per carat of US$4,452.

The latest sale takes total Lulo diamond sales for 2016 to $61 million Australian dollars.

The company is scheduling one more sale for the year, with the possibility of an additional being held pending production results.

Lucapa Diamond Company Limited posted a net profit of $4.4 million at 30 June 2016.
