Seven West Media Limited
(ASX:SWM) and Newzulu Limited
(ASX:NWZ) have announced they have signed a technology licensing and content agreement with West Australian Newspapers Limited.
Newzulu is a crowd-sourced news platform, providing its media partners with access to user-generated content, with Seven West being a significant shareholder in the business.
Seven West Media has licensed the full suite of Newzulu’s technology products for use in its newspaper division and related digital assets.
As part of the deal Seven West will also have access to Newzulu’s international crowd-sourced content.
Seven West Media Limited reported a net profit of $184.3 million at 25 June 2016.
