IPH Ltd
(ASX:IPH) has announced its first international acquisition – a trademarks firm in China and Hong Kong.
IPH will acquire Ella Cheong (Hong Kong) Ltd and its subsidiary, Ella Cheong Intellecual Property Agency (Beijing) Company Ltd.
The total purchase price is around $27 million, and the Ella Cheong businesses will be rebranded as Spruson & Ferguson. This deal is expected to complete by Monday, 31 October.
IPH is the holding company of intellectual property firms Spruson & Ferguson, Practice Insight and Cullens – which provide services across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific.
IPH posted a net profit of $38.8 million at 30 June 2016.
