Woodside Petroleum achieves record LNG production

According to its third quarter operational report, Woodside Petroleum Ltd (ASX:WPL) achieved record production at its Karratha and Pluto gas plants.

At its Karratha plant, the company produced 4% more liquefied natural gas (LNG), compared to its previous record (Q3, 2014). And at its Pluto plant, Woodside beat its old production record (Q3, 2015) by 1%.

Woodwide’s CEO, Peter Coleman, says the company these results were driven by excellent LNG capacity and reliability, which led to a 20% q/q revenue increase.

In regards to oil production, the company says its production guidance this year is between 92 and 95 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Woodside Petroleum posted a net profit of $529.2 million at 30 June 2016.
