Origin Energy to sell Darling Downs pipelines

Origin Energy Ltd (ASX:ORG) will be meeting with various pipeline owners this week to discuss the sale of its Darling Downs gas pipelines.

Origin will be meeting with QIC, APA Group and TransAlta, among other companies.

For sale are three high pressure pipelines with a total length of 292 kilometres. These pipelines service the Darling Downs Power Station, which is owned by Origin.

It also remains to see whether any investors from China are interested in this auction.

Origin Energy reported a net loss of $576 million at 30 June 2016.
