Axiom Mining Ltd
(ASX:AVQ) has commenced a 2.5km drilling program over 200 holes on the Isabel Nickel Project on San Jorge Island.
The company says the San Jorge tenement area makes up around half of the known Isabel Nickel Project in the Solomon Islands.
Axiom’s CEO, Ryan Mount, says he is expecting results similar to the company’s earlier drilling campaign on the Kolosori tenement – due to their similar geography, structure and historical definition.
The company says an offtake agreement has also been executed, internal studies have finished and that it has gained community support to commercialise the project.
Axoim Mining reported a net loss of $17.1 million at 31 March 2016.
