Blackham Resources Ltd
(ASX:BLK) began working at its Matilda Gold Project, Western Australia, five years ago. At the time, the company was a gold explorer.
Now, Blackham is Australia's newest gold miner, with market capitalisation of around $260 million. Blackham confirms that mining has commenced at its Matilda Project, in July, and imminent gold production is expected.
The company has 5.1Moz resource and a 780 square-kilometre landholding. Blackham also expects to earn 600 per ounce (on 100,000 ounces of gold) each year.
The company's Matilda Gold Project has global 9Moz endowment, including more than 4.3 Moz past production.
