Australia’s largest private hospital operator, Ramsay Health Care (ASX:RHC), has reported a 16.8% rise in core NPAT to $481.4 million.

In FY16, the company also earned $8.7 million revenue (up 18.1% from the year before that), and its core EPS is now $2.31 (representing an increase of 17.7%).

Ramsay declared a final, fully-franked dividend of 72 cents per share. This is a 19% higher than its FY15 dividend.

Ramsay also says its outlook is positive. It is expecting a greater demand for healthcare in all regions because of ageing populations, growing population numbers, proliferation of chronic disease, as well as an emergence of medical innovation and targeted therapies.
