Watpac Limited
(ASX:WTP) says it will enter an arrangement as a preferred builder with Australian Unity to deliver the Herston Quarter project in Brisbane.
The project includes building a public rehabilitation hospital, a private hospital, aged care and health research facilities on a 5 hectare site next door to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
The construction contract will be finalised whilst awaiting various building conditions.
The project is valued at $1.1 billion and is expected to start in 2017.
Watpac reported a net loss of $25.3 million at the end of December 2015.
