Telco company, Amaysim Australia Ltd
(ASX:AYS), has announced its first financial results, since publicly listing on the ASX last year.
In FY16, Amaysim reported its underlying net profit shot up almost 111% to $20 million, and its statutory net revenue was $253.5 million (up 19.2% over the previous year).
Amaysim confirmed it had a subscriber base of 966,000 people – a number which also includes the subscribers of Vaya, a competitor that it acquired earlier this year.
As for its outlook in FY17, Amaysim has listed a number of key priorities. They include capitalising on growth opportunities in the BYO mobile market, and diversifying its services to include broadband via the National Broadband Network (NBN).
