Fairfax announces net loss of $893.5M

Fairfax Media Ltd (ASX:FXJ) has announced a statutory net loss after tax of $893.5 million.

The media company’s revenue was $1.83 billion, which is 2% down compared to the previous corresponding period.

Fairfax also says its significant items after tax added up to a $1.03 billion loss.

The company declared a dividend of 2 cents per share, 70% franked. This brings Fairfax’s total dividends for the year to 4 cents per share, partially franked.
